Expert Recruits are pleased to be supporting an award-winning Top 500 law firm in their search for a pro-active HR Administrator (at Apprenticeship level).
Joining a growing Human Resources team this newly created opportunity will see you providing HR administrative support. Working alongside the HR Manager & HR Advisor on a wide range of processes, there is a possibility for the successful candidate to complete a CIPD qualification via an apprenticeship programme which will blend on the job learning and experience, with a recognised HR qualification.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Responding to HR queries related to pay, benefits and general policies and procedures
- Administration of staff changes – leavers, payroll amendments, email notifications
- Collating and preparation of payroll information
- Recruitment administration – right to work checks, references, DBS checks, arranging interviews, coordinating psychometric tests, responding to applicants
- Prepare offer letters, contracts and create templates
- Update & maintain the staff handbook
- Support the onboarding of new starters – scheduling induction training, new starter paperwork
- Assist with annual pay reviews / bonus letters
- Diary management, keeping on top of key dates, probationary periods, performance reviews and prompting the HR and wider teams
- Writing notes in formal meetings – disciplinary hearings etc
This apprenticeship will also include time for studying at Farnborough College of Technology in the afternoons and evenings, with the aim of obtaining a CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in People Practice. From the beginning of the CIPD Level 3 course, the apprenticeship should last 18 to 24 months.

As the ideal candidate you will hold 5 GCSE’s Grade 9 to 5 (A* to C) including Maths & English. You’ll need good typing skills, working knowledge of Microsoft office with previous administration experience desirable. You must have the ability to prioritise requests and incidents by urgency and impact. You’ll need to be resourceful, a team player & a strong communicator with the ability to deliver to the highest of standards.
